Countryside Educational Visits Accreditation Scheme (CEVAS)

CEVAS is a training scheme which prepares countryside staff and farmers to work with schools. It includes health and safety, links to the school curriculum and how to communicate with young people, leading to a qualification from the Open College Network. Over 30 people in Wales have already been accredited. With growing support from the Welsh Assembly Government for the 'outdoor classroom' and food education, here is a valuable opportunity to gain skills in connecting with the public.
